Greetings fellow martians
Thank you to all you wonderful people who ave signed up for this blog already! There are only two weeks to go before Caleb and I veture out into the unknown, and I figured it was time for a 'dry run' of this baby, to get ourselves accuainted. (for future notice...Lisa's strong point is NOT spelling...you might need to sound some words out)
So, welcome back to the blog. Allow me to show you around. Above me, you will see a strip of photos created by me, and taken by me on previous adventures. From left to right, we have: Elim Beach coloured sands QLD, a lighthouse at Devanport TAS, Twelve Apostles (of which there is only one in the photo...sorry, I'm no Ken Duncan!) VIC, Ellingar Falls (I think) from Atherton Tablelands QLD, Portsea from the Millionaire's Walk on the Mornington Peninsula VIC, Milla Milla Falls QLD, Mosman Gorge in the Daintree QLD, The Great Ocean Roa VIC and finally Port Arthur TAS.
To the left we have a photo of Caleb and I taken at Fraser Island. This is just so that you know who is having all these adventures! Below this photo is two collumns. The one on the left shows who is followinour adventure. You don't need to do this to ready our blog but it is cool to see who is tracking our moves. To the ri will be our archive, once we get started. As only five posts will appear on pagethe older ones will be archived, but this is where you can access them.
Below this post will be the previous four posts, with the oldest at the bottom. They may or may not incorporate photos - hopefully not too many as this will make the blog large and difficult to download.
To solve this photo issue, I have added a link to my Flickr page in the footer. There will be a line of 10 thumbnails of recent uploads to my Flickr page, and if you want the larger version, either click on the photo you want to see, or where it says 'More Photos'.
Finally, there should be a space where you can comment. I think that is fairly self explanatory.
So, thank you for attending this grand tour, orientating yourself with 'The Mayne Adventure'. Please check back in a couple of eeks to see the grand send off, and follow us on our journey. I have added two photos here, one of Caleb doing a wonderful job of preparing the trusty rodeo with a false floor for ease of access, and one of our new home on wheels!
